Five confirmed hiring events between September 9 and November 19, all of them free for job seekers. Here they are in order, with what each one is actually for.

CRCD Level Up Job Fair — Wednesday, September 9

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | LA Trade Tech Culinary Arts Building, Room 106A, 400 W. Washington Blvd.

The Coalition for Responsible Community Development runs this one out of the Vernon-Central/LATTC WorkSource Center, and it is the most accessible event on the list. Open to all experience levels, no professional dress requirement, employers doing interviews on the spot. CRCD lists the recruiting sectors as transportation, education, security, warehouse, event staffing and hospitality — which is to say, jobs you can start next month rather than next quarter. Aimed at South LA and the surrounding neighborhoods, but nobody is checking your ZIP code at the door. Registration is free through CRCD's event page.

Step Into Success Job Fair — Thursday, September 24

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Hawthorne Memorial Center, 3901 W. El Segundo Blvd., Hawthorne

Hosted by the LA County Office of Education's GAIN Division under its Hiring Spree LA banner. The thing that separates this one from a generic fair is the screening: Hiring Spree LA vets exhibitors for active openings before they get a table, and it publishes the employer list in advance, so you can walk in knowing who you actually want to talk to. Staff also do on-site resume printing, and interview clothing has been available at past events through Clothes the Deal. Free, with registration through the organizer's form.

Worth noting for South Bay job seekers: this is the closest thing on the list to a neighborhood fair, sitting a few minutes off the 405 near El Segundo and Inglewood.

Los Angeles Career Fair — Thursday, September 24

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Hilton Los Angeles Airport, 5711 W. Century Blvd.

Same day as Hawthorne, opposite end of the spectrum. This is Diversity Career Group's 27th annual Los Angeles Sales & Professional Career Fair, and the format is sit-down interviews rather than table-browsing. Roles skew professional: sales, inside and outside sales, account management, customer service, healthcare, project management, logistics, IT and management trainee tracks, plus entry-level and recent-graduate openings.

Read the requirements before you go. The organizer asks for professional dress and at least 12 printed copies of your resume. That is not a suggestion in a two-hour interview-format room. Registration is free through the organizer's page, and walk-up registration is available at the door.

San Fernando Valley Career Fair — Thursday, October 15

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Valley venue — confirm before you drive

The 27th annual Valley edition of the same Diversity Career Group series, with the same interview format and the same professional-dress and 12-resume expectations. Employers recruit for Woodland Hills, Burbank, Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys openings.

One caveat we are not going to paper over. As of publication the organizer's own listings disagree about the venue: their event registration lists the Courtyard by Marriott Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd., while the summary block on their event page lists the Woodland Hills Hilton on Canoga Ave. Those are about eight miles apart. We are not printing one address as fact until it is settled. Check the organizer's event page the week of October 15, or confirm by email through their contact form, before you get in the car.

Los Angeles Career Fair — Thursday, November 19

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Hilton Los Angeles Airport, 5711 W. Century Blvd.

The last one on the fall calendar, and a repeat of the September 24 event at the same LAX-adjacent hotel: same organizer, same interview-style format, same professional and entry-level mix across sales, customer service, technology and business roles. If you miss September 24 or want a second pass after two months of applications, this is the make-up date. 🔎 How to Pick the Right Ones

Five is more than anyone needs to attend. Sort yourself:

You need income in the next 30 days: September 9 at Trade Tech. Warehouse, security, transportation and hospitality employers hiring on the spot, and no dress code standing between you and a conversation.
You live in the South Bay: September 24 in Hawthorne. Screened employers, a published list you can research beforehand, and resume help on site.
You are in sales, account management or customer service: September 24 or November 19 at the Hilton LAX. The interview format rewards people who came prepared to be interviewed.
You are in the Valley: October 15 — but confirm the venue first. See above.
You are early-career or just graduated: the two Hilton dates explicitly recruit entry-level and recent grads, which most professional fairs quietly do not.

💵 One Thing to Know About Pay Before You Negotiate

LA is a patchwork, and the address where the work is performed sets the legal floor — not where you live, and not where the company is headquartered.

Inside the City of Los Angeles, the minimum wage rose to $18.42 an hour on July 1, 2026, per the city's Office of Wage Standards. In the unincorporated areas of LA County, the county's own ordinance puts the floor at $18.47 as of the same date. California's statewide minimum is $16.90. Independent cities in the county set their own status, so a job in Hawthorne is not automatically governed by the LA City rate — ask the employer which jurisdiction the worksite sits in.

One more, because two of these fairs are held at an airport hotel: under the city's Citywide Hotel Worker Minimum Wage Ordinance, large hotels in Los Angeles — 60 or more rooms, or 50 or more inside the Airport Hospitality Enhancement Zone around LAX — owe covered hotel workers a $25.00 cash wage plus a $4.25 hourly health benefit payment as of July 1, 2026. If you are job hunting in hospitality near Century Blvd., that is the number to know. Check the current rates at the city's Office of Wage Standards.

None of these are going rates. In warehouse, logistics and food service across this metro, competition routinely pushes real starting pay above the legal floor. Treat the minimum as the floor it is.

Fairs are one channel. The employers recruiting at them are posting the same roles online the same week, and the fall stretch is when LA does its heaviest hiring: port and warehouse operations build peak-season crews, hospitality staffs up for the visitor season, school districts backfill, and retailers finish their holiday rosters before Halloween.
