🔥 Who's Behind It and Who It's For

The expo is hosted by JVS SoCal Veteran Services through its Veterans America's Job Center of California, the veteran-focused branch of the state's job center network.

The listing names veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses as the core audience, then adds the line that matters for everyone else: everyone is welcome. If you never served and need work, you can register.

Employers needed current openings and active recruiting to get a table. No employer list has been published, so expect a mix of industries, and expect some recruiters to interview on the spot.

✅ What to Bring and How to Get There

  • Several printed copies of your resume. The organizer asks for them by name.
  • Professional clothes. Onsite interviews are on the table, so dress for one.
  • Your DD-214 details, clearance level and certifications written down, if you have them. Recruiters ask, and a clean answer moves you up the list.

Patriotic Hall sits on South Figueroa at the south edge of downtown. Skip the street hunt: free parking is in the structure at 245 W. 23rd St., third floor and above, with a free shuttle to the hall. Parking details go out by email to registrants before the event, one more reason to sign up early.

🚨 Need Something Sooner? Woodland Hills, October 29

If November 5 is too far off, or you live out in the West Valley, the South Valley WorkSource Center is holding a job fair on Thursday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to noon at West Valley Occupational Center, 6200 Winnetka Ave. in Woodland Hills, 91367. It is in person at LAUSD's adult and career education campus, with registration through the WorkSource center's Eventbrite page or on site that morning. No employer list has been posted. Different event, different side of town, no veteran focus: bring a resume and come ready to talk.

🔎 Where Veterans Get Hired in LA

Military experience maps cleanly onto several of this region's biggest hiring lanes: logistics and fleet work around the ports and the warehouse belt, aerospace and defense in the South Bay, public safety, IT and security, and health care at the county's hospital systems.

Is there a cost?

The organizer's listing does not post an admission price for job seekers. Register through the Eventbrite page ahead of time so you get the parking and shuttle details by email.

No list has been published. The organizer required employers to have current openings and be actively recruiting, and says companies may conduct onsite interviews.

Are there other LA job fairs coming up?
